Here is a sample of the proposed "purpose" of AL-ITS. Let me know what you think - too long? - too wordy?
~Rhonda Clark
"An organized group for state, district and local school Instructional Technology Specialists, Technology Integration Specialists, and Technology Trainers in Alabama for the purpose of communication and collaboration to share ideas and develop cooperative projects to better serve the schools of Alabama in technology integration.
Organization of this group has come from the need to gain a better understanding and enhancement of technology integration in all schools and districts. Efforts include cooperative work, communication, Internet research, database management/student data tracking, and other methods to increase classroom productivity. Successful integration is difficult to define; however it is important that integration be routine, seamless, and both efficient and effective in enhancing student learning. Seamless and successful integration of technology is our main goal."
